Research Interests
My interest in science began early in life when I wanted to be able to explain the world around me. I spent a few years after college working for an applied biosciences company where I learned many lab techniques and worked with different strains of bacteria. I decided to go back to school in pursuit of my PhD and perform basic research. In the Richer lab, I am currently researching the role of a transcription factor in the proliferation and regulation of T cells during infection.

Outside of the lab I enjoy reading, drinking and brewing coffee, spending time outdoors, and cuddling with my cats Darwin and Attenborough.
